TIM WEST plays a variety of roles at Black Book. He manages the overall auction relationship vital to the accuracy and timeliness of Black Book’s information and oversees our production department, ensuring the quality of the printing and shipping of all our printed guides.

After joining Black Book in 1984 as an editorial assistant, West eventually took on the responsibility for editing the passenger car portion of our domestic guides. After several years in that position, West was named assistant field coordinator and worked directly with the survey contractors who attend wholesale auto auctions throughout North America on behalf of Black Book.

Black Book named West vice president of National Auto Research in 2003 and the following year he was inducted into the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) Ring of Honor. The National Auto Auction Association inducted West into its Hall of Fame in 2011.

West earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee.
